Online Reviews for Local Service Businesses

More five-star reviews, in your customers' own words, so you show up on Google, Maps and AI.

The map decides who gets the call

When a homeowner needs a plumber, an electrician or a cleaner, they search, look at the map, and call one of the first few businesses with good reviews. A lot of people search for local businesses right on the map. More and more of them ask an AI assistant instead, and the assistant leans on reviews too. Either way, reviews decide who gets the call.

Krista has more than 3,645 five-star reviews and teaches three rules: get a lot of reviews, keep them coming so they stay recent, and answer every one. Google favors reviews that are recent, relevant and responded to. A shop whose last review is from two winters ago loses to the shop that got three last week.

Reviews that mention the job and the town

"Great service, five stars" helps a little. A review that says what you fixed, in which neighborhood, how fast you showed up and that you cleaned up after yourself helps a lot, because it contains the words the next customer searches for. When someone asks for an emergency plumber near them, or a roofer who handles insurance claims in their town, reviews that match those words help you get recommended.

Customers won't write that on their own. They are relieved the job is done and type two words. The answer is to ask better questions, so their real experience comes out in their own words.

How the KMC Review Generator works

Krista's team built the KMC Review Generator in-house and gives it to students. It replaced a review service Krista used to pay for every month, and it was shown live at the Build Your AI Dream Team event, set up from scratch in a few minutes for a made-up pizzeria. Krista is setting it up next for her husband's auto shop.

  1. Add your business. Upload your logo, choose a look and get your own review link. Add Google, Facebook, Yelp or any site that matters in your trade by name and link.
  2. Do the interview. Tell the app your services, the areas you serve, your warranties and what makes you different. It turns that into the questions customers are asked.
  3. Your customer answers a few taps. The app drafts a review from their answers, in their own words, in a short and a long version.
  4. They post it. One tap copies the review and opens Google or the site you chose, and the customer posts it under their own name.

Two tools, one system

The KMC Review Generator is half of the system. The other half lives in the Mashore Method CRM & Automation, and Krista described them working as one: "we have it attached to our Mashore method." Her summary of the result: "all that is automatic."

  • It asks for you. When a job is marked done, the Mashore Method sends the review request by text or email, with your KMC Review Generator link in it. A QR code on your front desk, invoice or truck does the same for anyone in front of you.
  • It collects every review in one place. Connect your Google Business Profile and Facebook page, plus other review sites that matter to you, and every new review lands in one place. You are notified when one comes in.
  • It helps you answer. You reply from the same place, and AI can draft each reply in your tone. You can edit the reply before it goes out, or let the routine ones post on their own.
  • It shows them off. A reviews widget puts your best reviews on your website and keeps them current, so homeowners see proof without leaving the page.
  • It shows you the pattern. Review reports show how many reviews are coming in, how they trend, and what homeowners say most.

The CRM makes sure the asking, collecting and answering happen. The KMC Review Generator makes each review worth having, in the customer's own words. Together they keep fresh reviews coming in without you remembering to ask. See how the Mashore Method CRM & Automation works.

When a customer is unhappy

Every crew has a bad day. A tech ran late, nobody answered the phone, the estimate didn't match the bill. When a customer's answers show they are unhappy, the app does not write a review for them, and they can still post one anywhere they like. It asks what went wrong and whether they want you to call, then emails you an alert right away.

That is your chance to call back, apologize and fix it while the customer is still deciding how they feel about you. Sometimes they just want to be heard. A customer you save is a customer who calls you next time, and tells the neighbors.

Answer every review, and learn from them

Every review lands in the app's analytics, with what went well and what needs attention. You can answer reviews from the app, and Krista teaches answering each one with a specific, personal reply, because it shows Google and future customers that a real business is behind the listing. On a website built with Krista's team, reviews can also appear on the site automatically.

Export the feedback and give it to BOSS, and your AI team can tell you which techs, services and habits customers praise and which keep getting flagged. That is coaching for your crew, written by your customers.

Ask on every job, automatically

The best moment to ask is at the end of the job, while the customer is happy and the truck is still in the driveway. With the Mashore Method CRM & Automation, the review request goes out after a finished job, and you are notified when a new review comes in, so your techs don't have to remember. Krista's plan for her husband's shop adds one more step: a QR code on the front desk that takes customers straight to the review page.

Reviews then feed the rest of your marketing. They make your website more convincing, they give your AI team real customer words for ads, and they add to the signals that help you get recommended by AI when someone nearby asks who to call.

Online reviews by trade

Plumbers and HVAC companies win the emergency call. Electricians and roofers earn the trust a big job needs. Carpet cleaners and cleaning services keep the repeat customers coming. Auto repair shops earn the keys, and landscapers win the neighbors.

Your next step

First, make sure you have a Google Business Profile. Krista tells every student it is a must, because without one you are close to invisible to Google and to AI. Then pull up your business on Google Maps and compare your reviews with the top three competitors near you. Who has more? Whose are newer? Who answers them? Frequently asked questions

Is it allowed to help customers write a review?

The app doesn't make up reviews. Each one starts from a real customer's answers about the real job, and the customer reads it, can edit it, and posts it under their own name.

What if a customer is unhappy with the job?

The app won't write a review for them, and they can still post one wherever they like. It asks what went wrong and whether they want a call, and emails you right away so you can make it right.

Do my techs need to do anything?

No. With the CRM, the review request can go out automatically after a finished job.

How do I get it?

The KMC Review Generator is for Krista's students. Book a call and the team will show you how it fits with BOSS and your website.
