How to spend five checks
Start with your own site, then run the competitor that shows up above you on the map. Save one check for after you fix things, so you can see the score move.
What the score means
You get one number out of 100 and a letter: 90 and up is an A, 80 a B, 70 a C, 60 a D, and below 60 an F. Under it, each of the eight areas has its own score, so you can see whether the problem is speed, whether AI can read the site, structured data, broken pages, the words or the rules for your business.
Google's phone test has its own four scores, each with a launch target. Speed moves a few points between runs; the others hold steady.
What usually needs fixing first
Local sites most often fail on speed on a phone and on structured data first: big gallery photos slow the page, and nothing tells AI your trade, your area or your hours. Next, check that your licence number shows wherever the site says you are licensed, and that your service-area pages each say the town they are about. Those are the details Google and AI use to send a nearby customer to you.
Then work down the list
The report puts the biggest problems at the top under "Fix these first," with the pages each one was found on and the fix in plain words. Work down that list in order. Download the report and hand it to whoever runs your site, then run a check again to see the score move.
