Top 6 Ways To Find Influencers To Help Promote Your Brand

Posted on November 20, 2021 by

Influencer marketing is a very popular way to find new people interested in your product, but sometimes it's hard to find influencers who are relevant for your brand or products. Here are six ways to find influencers that will work well with what you have to offer.

1. Focus On Micro-Influencers

Micro-Influencers are people with small followings of about 1k -10k followers each. These types of influencers usually get at least 10% engagement which means more targeted and active followers than if you find big celebrities with millions of fans who may never see the post or be interested in your product anyway. However, many micro-influencers don't want their follower count growing too quickly so they charge a bit more to find smaller and sustainable growth.

2. Ask Your Current Customers

If you find people who already know about, like, and trust your company they are likely to be open to sharing posts or tagging their friends. If you find someone in the future who has 20k followers, is interested in similar products, and likes working with companies they believe in; chances are high that they will share something related even if it doesn't directly pertain to them.

3. Use Hashtags

Hashtags on Instagram help people find like-minded individuals (based on common interests) quickly and easily without having to follow everyone. If a person tags a photo with a certain hashtag then anybody can find that post through the tag which makes it easy for you to find influencers based on your product.

4. Try Out Twitter Influencer Finder Tools

Twitter is a great place to find people with certain interests and followings that relate to your own brand, products or services . There are many twitter influencer finder sites you can use such as Mentionmapp  or Followerwonk by Moz. You enter the keywords for your business, product or service into these free tools and they give you a list of Twitter users who tweet about those topics often . These types of influencers usually have a larger follower count but also engage their audience more than celebrities do , which makes them more likely to respond well if you contact them directly through Twitter.

5. Look at Who's Talking

This is a great way to find influencers in general, not just on Twitter. You can find people who are talking about certain products or services in your industry by using the Google advanced search bar. For example, I use it when I'm looking for new podcasts to listen to and find out who's been talking about them lately . A similar tool you can use is Buzzsumo which also lets you search by any topic and find how many times a certain person has been mentioned with that word or phrase over time . This gives you more of an idea of whether your potential influencer will be interested in your product or not based on what they've been talking about recently.

6. Put In The Work and Find Your Own

When you find influencers, make sure they're a good fit for your product or service . There are tons of huge lists online that promise you all the top influencers to find  but when I tried them it left me with hundreds of people who had nothing to do with my business and didn't even use their email addresses on social media (which I find to be a big no-no). Contacting people directly can seem intimidating but if you try out just one of these ways to find influencers I'm sure you'll get more success than spamming celebrities on Twitter.

Conclusion

Once you find influencers that are a good match for your brand, they can do wonders in promoting what you have to offer. It's important to find ones who have a loyal following so they don't take the opportunity from someone who might really benefit from it. Finding micro-influencers or those with similar interests as your business is a great way to find people interested in working with you and find out more about how their followers feel about your products before contacting them directly.
