As early as her first days in the business, Krista, a listing specialist and real estate trainer/coach, has applied groundbreaking techniques to real estate marketing, coaching, and business development. “I’ve always been an early adopter,” she says, explaining that she hit the ground running in 2001, selling 69 homes the first year after leaving her first career as a third-grade teacher to work exclusively as a REALTOR®. “I pour myself into my career and do as much education and research as I can in order to stand out from my competitors,” says Krista, who currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Psychology and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Education. Not only does she hold her real estate license, but holds her brokers license as well. Her multiple designations and her consultative approach to client relations prove that, if there’s something to learn, Krista will embrace it.
Krista has recently been recognized in "Top Agent Magazine" as one of the leading agents in California, as well as by the Wall Street Journal in the Top 1% of Realtors Nationwide. “I’ve done things differently than other agents for a long time, marketing from the ground up and staying ahead of the technology curve. I spend a lot of time researching the most innovative technologies on the market, which helps catapult my brand above my competition."
Fortunately, she doesn’t keep her education to herself. She recently began sharing her belief in continuing education with tens of thousands of other REALTORS®. Krista's main focus is now on the training and development of real estate agents around the country. She recently conducted a webinar for 44,000 REALTORS® on the topic of online marketing. "After all, it’s more important now than ever for buyers and sellers to hire experienced, trained agents. The more every agent knows, the better off every client and agent will be,” she says. “And the better job each agent does with marketing and selling homes, the better we all do.”
Krista is continuously invited to be interviewed on top agent panels based on her leadership, experience and knowledge. Krista places great importance on teaching agents how imperative educating and marketing to the consumer is. “We teach socialization based marketing, optimizing a digital marketing platform that helps the agents get maximum exposure with SEO techniques, enhanced online placements, target marketing and so much more," she says. "Once an agent goes through our training and implements our proven strategies of success, their opportunities are endless. They are quickly seen as the expert authority in the community they serve."
Having sold more than 1,700 homes, Krista’s vast experience enables her to teach her students how to be proactive, not reactive. “I’ve been in this business more than 16 years and have closed so many deals that I know what can go wrong!” Krista says with a self-deprecating laugh. "Believe me, I have made many mistakes. It hasn't all been perfect. I've learned through thousands of hours and literally millions of dollars what works and what doesn't. My job is to use my experience and create the best possible outcome for my students."
Despite how busy she is as a top agent and mother of two teenagers, Krista still devotes energy to supporting the community. As a former teacher, the schools hold a special place in her heart; she contributes a good deal of time and treasure to the schools’ various programs and scholarship funds.
Her current movement, Teens Lifting Lives, is a philanthropic program dedicated to changing the mindset of teens to help them lead more prosperous lives and to give back to others. It is an 8 week program, dedicated to 20 students, where they are committed to reading the book of Krista’s choice, abstain from drugs and alcohol, participate in a weekly meeting, make vision boards, and do at least 2 kind acts for strangers per week. They each earn $1,000 at the completion of the program, donating $250 of that money to their charity of choice.
